Since the initial scan revealed Port 23 (Telnet) as the only open entry point, I proceeded to interact with the service directly.
Command:
telnet 10.129.84.2272. Interaction Results
Upon connecting, the server displayed a default HTB Linux banner and prompted for a login.
The exposure of a Telnet port combined with a lack of mandatory authentication for critical accounts is a major security flaw.
